Hi Gents,

i have a few probs setting up the recorder under vista ultimate.
The recording state doesnt change, remains on idle. I think the problem is in here:

[Record]
LastDevice=0.0.0.0: VIA Rhine II Fast Ethernet Adapter (\\Device\\NPF_{EDA7FF12–05A6–4BE5-A374–60084291BFAB})
LastDelay=0
Ports=
LastGGPort=1513
LastArenaPort=23585

I think the Ethernet Device isnt correct.
Or do i have to seth the gamepath?

[Misc]
GamesPath=./
Verbose=0

Can anyone help pls :)?

0.0.0.0 – wrong device selected.

Run Wtv Recorder as administrator and select the correct device – it has a valid IP adress – not 0.0.0.0.

Use Winpcap 4.1+

I have now a valid Ethernet Adapter, but the recorder status still doesnt change from idle. I have the assumption there is no connection between WC3 and Recorder.
I dont know more what to do :(

For all others, there are some probs with the combination Vista/Alice Inet and recording wtv games. Solution is to replace the modem with a router :) gl (i will go and buy one :))))

I will post the same thing here for people to see.
This problem can be fixed easy. I have Vista Ultimate x64 with Marvel Ethernet port too. All you need to do is go into your Device Manager and right click on the device and select Update. Let windows do an auto update from the internet and it will update the driver which fixes this problem.
Its not faulty hardware, so don’t think you need to buy a new card and such. Its just faulty drivers. My ethernet port worked fined in Windows XP, so it was just the driver that needed updating

Hey guys, I got the following problem:
As soon as I connect to the server the Recorder shuts down… I use vista and it tells me the usual error thing: “The program is not working anymore” (Das Programm funktioniert nicht mehr) And all I can do is close it. Any suggestions? I failed at googling it.

From my experience Recorder crashes are very rare, but you can always restart from scratch.

- see if their are newer drivers for your motherboard/network card – install if there are
– uninstall WinpCap
– install the newest WinpCap
– delete your Recorder folder, including all files and the .ini (settings)
– redownload the lastest Recorder, unzip and try again

Good luck :p

Thx for the help, finally an active forum!!
Well as far as I saw it, it must’ve been the winpcap. Reinstalle that and worked. regards, rp.g4m3r

Ya, reinstalling WinpCap often fixes a lot of issues. Glad to hear it also worked for you.
