Topic "BugHunt: Recorder + Garena - Status always idle" created by Doso 2 years, 9 months ago

I’ve been getting a couple of reports that people are having problems with the Waaagh!TV Recorder on Garena. The problem seems to be that the recorder never changes from “idle”.

If you are having this problem, and you are shure that you configured everything correctly, we could need your help.

Go to your Waaagh!TV Recorder directory open and edit the wtvrecorder.ini and set verbose to 65535. Start the recorder and join a hosted Game in Garena. Copy the log file and paste it to pastebin.com and post the link in this thread. The recorder creates log files in the folder Log, you can also copy it from the Log tab of the Waaagh!TV recorder.

Without log files we will not be able to track down and fix this bug. Thanks in advance.

How do I copy the log?~

it should be stored in a file in the recorders log directory next to the executable, you can read that file using a standard text editor like windows notepad to copy sections of it.

Okay, here is my problem:

I am able to stream Battle.net Games, but in LAN and Garena the status does not change, it always says “Idle”.

Here are two logs. I think the second one should give more information than the first one.

Even if that is not the described bug, I’d be glad if you could fix my problem, since I should’ve followed every instruction/guide correctly.

Am actually having that probleme. I have no probleme streaming under bnet, but once its Garena, my stat never changes and stays on idle, while am in game etc etc.

Here are the logs:

i keep getting this error: [ERROR] Packet does not match to current RecordingState.

Hiho…

Thanks for all the reports. I finally found some time and changed some things on the recorder.
The Garena issue may be fixed with that.
(Explanation: Garena uses UDP packets; UDP packets have a checksum to detect transmission failures; when sending UDP packets the checksum has to be calculated; Vista supports “offload calculation” of the checksum in the netcard; Since WinPCap sees packets before the netcard, UDP checksum was uninitialized/wrong)

Give it a try:

Just to give you a small feedback:

After I downloaded the new version I do not have any problems at all and I am able to stream WTV @ Garena. Well done!

@MIBiYL
Seems like the recorder could not pick up any network traffic. i dont know why.

You could try “wireshark”, a network-sniffer also using winpcap. Especially the interface for selecting the appropriate network adapter is better.
Can wireshark read some network packets?
Try selecting the same adapter in wtvRecorder.

@MIBiYL
What type of game are you trying to record? bnet, lan or garena?

Could you please try a bnet game.

1st: Start the recorder
2nd: Start Warcraft3
3rd: Join BNet
4th: Select “custom games”
5th: You can exit now/no need to join or record.

With verbose=3 the recorder log should look like this:
http://pastebin.com/m66f71ae7

With bigger verbosity (65535) you should see much much more.

TipsYLich and leviour:

You both tried to record garena games?

Before doing that, you have to “scan for garena port”. This will only work if garena and warcraft is running.
Per default garena uses port 1513.
If the scan did not work for you, you can also close the recorder and edit the wtvRecorder.ini. Change “LastGGPort=0” into “LastGGPort=1513”. Save and restart the recorder.

Hey guys, here is whats happening to me. I have only tried this once, but in doing so, I failed. I use GhostOne and once the game fills up in BNet (uswest) it says “Ready” and then the game starts… After the game starts it goes back to Waiting for Players and I get a lot of these errors ” [r] [ERROR] Packet does not match to current RecordingState. Packet: warPacket, Type: 12(0xc), Length: 6, Data: F7 0C 06 00 3E 00 ”....>.”

Here’s my log: http://pastebin.com/me899f44

This is only some of the mass amount it sent me, but it just repeats the ERROR Packet does not match.

The one culprit I can think of is that GhostOne automatically changes the DotA game name if no one joins after 30 seconds (to get more people to join and send the game to the top of the list). It does not kick people when it does this, but I’m guessing it will cause problems?

Thanks in advance.

There is nothing in your logfile, except that stantard output.

I too have this problem. I tried reinstalling winpcap etc.

I think the main error is:
[02:25:55:559] [r] [05] Send: [ERROR] Not a Warcraft packet: Packet: warPacket, Type: 1(0×1), Length: 262, Data:

However, here is the complete log (with verbose 65535

any help?
